My academic career has been driven by a strong interest in how biochemical and molecular processes affect human health, particularly in terms of diet and nutrition. Having studied biochemistry, I am well-versed in the molecular processes underpinning sickness onset, nutrition absorption, and metabolism.
I aim to use biochemical insights to create long-term, evidence-based dietary plans for disease prevention and health promotion has piqued my interest in nutrition research. My research interests include personalized diet planning, public health nutrition, and nutritional biochemistry.
I'm particularly interested in learning more about how noncommunicable diseases, dietary weight gain and management, and autoimmune disorders such as diabetes might be handled in Africa using culturally appropriate nutrition.
